How will Videos benefit my business?

  • Videos are an essential marketing tool in every business and industry. It will grow your business by giving your customers/clients a good first and lasting impression of your company: the company's background and history, your qualified staff, your products and services and financial strength. A corporate video helps tell the story about your company and the features of your products and service to prospects.

What is Videography?

  • Simply put, videography is the art of creating video with the video camera- the process of setting up the video camera, lighting the scene, scene composition and recording your subject.

Why should I hire WolFang Digital for corporate events?

  • During a corporate event, our strengths lie in our ability to:
  •
  • 1) Blend in with the crowd. Your guests or clients need not feel self-conscious with our team's presence. Our videography skills will give you flattering shots of your guests.
  •
  • 2) Interact with your guests/clients. Our team are amicable and respectful of your guests' and clients' personal space yet we are able to make your guests feel at home. We can shoot in a non-intrusive manner.
  •
  • 3) We are careful when videographing your brand/products, making sure not to include a competitor's brands into the scene.
  •
  • 4) We are creative when videographing your brand/products. We make the best use of existing and mobile video lights, we manipulate the scene, foreground and background in ways that compliment your product or brand.

Where can I see samples of your videos?

You provide 'Live Video Feed' What is it?

  • When video from a camcorder that is recording an event is played back on a large TV or similar device, this signal is known as Live Video Feed.
  •
  • Typically, this technique is used to broadcast an event to a large backdrop (eg. plasma or projector screen) at another location for general viewing.
  •
  • Your guests get to view the performance via the huge screen without having to move from their seats. This is great for guests who are seated too far back or are occupying a private room.
  •

How long does it take to complete a Corporate Video?

  • It really depends on the size of your premises since this will determine videography time, which in turn will effect video editing sessions. The sooner a client reverts back to us after each presentation allows us to begin on revisions earlier. From script to screen: on average, a corporate video can take as little as 3 weeks to complete.
  •
  • Here is a breakdown of our timeline (not including the time it takes for client to provide feedback):
  •
  • Scriptwriting (approx. 5 days)
  •
  • Videography (approx. 1 to 3 days, depending on scale of subject being shot)
  •
  • Video Editing & Motion Graphics (approx. 5 to 10 days depending on duration and complexity of video)
  •
  • Voice Over Recording (approx. 1 days, executed concurrently with Video Editing)
  •
  • Voice Over Synching with Video & Music Editing (approx. 2 days)
  •
  • Encoding & Authoring of Master DVD (approx. 1 day)
  •

Tell me the difference between a Launch Video and an Event Video

  • The Launch Video is a fast-paced, dynamic video used to unveil a new product or service and is normally played in the presence of the press so it has to be concise and impressive. It is completed before the event and presented during the launch. The Launch Video is created before the launch of a product/service/award ceremony or similar event.
  •
  • An Event Video however, is normally given to your shareholders and investors to highlight your monthly functions and activities. Although an Event Video is slightly longer, it nonetheless has to maintain its entertaining qualities as well as convey key information about the featured activities. An event video is created during and after the event, presented no longer than 5 working days later, while it is still fresh on everyone's minds.

Aren't all DVDs the same? What is an Interactive DVD?

  • Currently there are two classes of DVDs. An Interactive DVD and... one that isn't.
  •
  • An interactive DVD offers the you the freedom of selecting:
  •
  • 1) Chapters ie. which video in the DVD you'd like to watch first.
  • 2) Subtitles
  • 3) Video Angles
  • 4) Languages
  • 5) Audio Setup eg. Audio Channels
  •
  • In terms of creativity, it allows the programmer to impress you by creating various menus, buttons, looping functions, navigation features etc. during the DVD Authoring process.
  •
  • If you want a video to loop indefinitely when it ends (for TVs in showrooms), remember to ask for an Interactive DVD that is 'looped'
  •

What is 3D Animation?

  • A good example would be recent Hollywood Box Office hits: Finding Nemo, The Incredibles to name a few. There are 5 stages in creating 3D animation:
  •
  • Stage 1: Research & Development and storyboarding
  • Stage 2: Modelling (creating your corporate logo, machinery, product etc.)
  • Stage 3: Texturing & Lighting (dressing up the objects and setting up lights)
  • Stage 4: Animation (Applying motion to the 3D models and camera position)
  • Stage 5: Rendering (The computer processes the data. This procedure is automated)
  •
  • 3D animation is a time-consuming process but its well worth the time invested as it helps create video footage that is physically impossible or impractical to achieve in real life.
  •

What is a Photo Montage?

  • When there is a lack of video, the alternative is to create the Photo Montage. A collection of photographs are animated to give the viewer the impression that the photos were shot with a video camera. The idea is to pan and zoom the photographs, giving the effect of movement then apply video filters like blurs and colour correction. The result is a convincing video consisting of a compilation of photos.

What effects the cost of producing a Corporate Video?

  • 01) Duration of videography: how many days
  • 02) Venue(s) of videography: how many locations
  • 03) Scriptwriting: Will you provide a script or let us craft one out
  • 04) Storyboard: Will a script suffice or will you want one drawn
  • 05) Talent: Do you need people to act for you do they need to talk?
  • 06) Actors: Actors cost more than talents but they talk real good
  • 07) 3D Animation: Depends the duration and the complexity of the animation
  • 08) Motion Graphics: Depends on the duration and the complexity
  • 09) Video Editing: On average takes 5 days, depending on duration of videography
  • 10) Final Material: How many DVDs will you need?
  • 11) Interactive DVD: An interactive DVD costs more to produce?

What is Motion Graphics?

  • Any animation that involves movement of (but not limited to) 2 dimensional shapes; an amalgamation of typography, video, pictures or even 3D animation synched with music and rhythm to create a fusion of digital imagery to express emotion or convey information.
  •
  • Photo montages are a simple form of Motion Graphics
  •

What is Video Editing?

  • The core process of producing a video. Video Editing comprises of:
  •
  • 01) Digitising: Choosing the best 'takes' shot during videography
  • 02) Editing: Combining various footage, animation or motion graphics with music
  • 03) Video Titles: Determining and inserting video titles to describe a scene or process
  • 04) Music Track: Choosing appropriate music for the video
  • 05) Sound Effects: Inserting sound effects where needed
  •

What is a Training Video?

  • A Training Video is the most cost-effective method of educating your staff on your company's best practices, operating procedures or even sales techniques.
  •
  • The Training Video frees up the facilitator's schedule to pursue other more important initiatives and reduces travel and accommodation costs of both the the trainees and trainers.
  •
  • Training can then be conducted at a convenient and central location by way of incorporating training material into DVDs and setting up a training area with a comprehensive AV system comprising of a TV, speakers and a DVD player.
  •
  • Learning through this method allows the trainee to recall the training material as often as he/she likes at his/her convenience thus ensuring the maximum assimilation of training material.
